Recycled news.

Just for the record, the NYT as well as every cable news channel legal pundit spent two days last June obsessing over whether President Trump could fire Robert Mueller, and the stories were as a result of exactly the same accusations the Times is making now. This isn’t new news.

Recycling is a good thing to do for the environment.  Luckily paper is one of the easiest things to recycle.  Perhaps the NYT can come back as a  roll of paper towels.

No more marriage licenses?

Alabama has begun considering the abolishment of marriage licenses. That’s a great way to avoid the problem of recognizing gay marriage, but it brings up a whole host of legal questions.

For instance, inheritance issues. The spouse is usually the first in line to inherit, but if you can’t prove you were legally married, what happens at probate? If some other person shows up and says he or she was also married to the deceased, then what?

Then there are the questions of bigamy and plural marriage, not to mention child support and alimony.

And to muddy the waters even further, common law marriages are no longer recognized under Alabama law, effective January 1, 2017.

Supposedly the answer to all that is to file an affidavit proclaiming yourselves married.

Maybe the real answer is for clerks and judges to suck it up and obey Federal law. Either that, or get another job. You don’t have to like it, but it’s hypocritical to cry about states ignoring immigration law and then simply do the same thing in a different way.

When did they find time to…

They being Strzok and Page, the chatty FBI employees. You fill in the blanks. If they did indeed generate 50,000 text messages over five months,  that’s one every 4.32 minutes, 24/7.

Either there’s a misplaced decimal point, or those two are guilty of collecting a paycheck under false pretenses.

Incidentally, isn’t it fascinating how quickly the “missing” texts were “found?”

About that memo.

Yeah, THAT memo.

In another stunning example of the contempt in which Democrats hold the rest of us, Adam Schiff, while on a liberal media tour, said that the information in the memo is too complex for us, the deplorables, to understand. Here’s an open letter to Schumer, Schiff, Feinstein, Pelosi and Democrats in general:

Dear Dems:  We know it was put together by Republicans. We know that, like yourselves,  they have an agenda, and we also know that Nunes has offered to provide a bibliography of the sources used to create it as well as assuring us that they can release it without endangering sources and methods.

We are also smart enough to see the panic behind your attempts to discredit it.

Sorry if that doesn’t fit your Russian bot narrative.
