Sometimes when there is nothing worth writing about, the temptation is to just not write.
That’s kind of where we are this week, when all the media folks are focused on our apparent obsession with foul language and fouler minds.
After Roseanne’s stupid and ugly tweet, and various other vulgarian and highly unfunny “comics” showing off their ability to talk dirty, much like three-year olds who use a dirty word just to see what Mommy and Daddy will do about it, you just want to turn off the TV and play solitaire.
However, there are some items worth discussing.
Like maybe the ongoing efforts to resolve the tensions with North Korea, or the Boise junior high-age kids who got involved in a big way, maybe saving two peoples’ lives.
The point is, we don’t have to focus on the bad stuff, and doing so is just an exercise in self-flagellation.
Luckily, all of our devices have “off” buttons. We just have to re-learn the way to use them.
‘Nuff said.
