Gamesmanship

It isn’t often a sitting President personally addresses reporters in the WH briefing room, and even the MSM had a hard time pretending it didn’t happen, not that they didn’t try.

So why did he do it?  Well, he couldn’t get Pelosi and Schumer to listen to the opinion of Border Protection personnel, so he put them on camera for the world to see.

To listen to la patrona Pelosi, you might believe that the people actually working on the border have no use for any sort of border wall, barrier or fence, pick your own noun.

How do you counter that? By putting them in front of the MSM, of course.

Slap.

Mission accomplished?

Apparently, being foul-mouthed is neither reserved to the President, nor forbidden by the Koran, as evidenced by the newly elected self-avowed Democratic Socialist, Illinois Representative Rashida Tlaib.

While the expletive she used is one of the saltier ones in use today, the fact that Muslim women can cuss too is hardly earthshaking.

What should be disturbing, at least to those who elected her, is that she seems more focused on impeaching the President than working for her constituents.

That is of course unless she was only elected to overthrow the President, and in Detroit, and as a disciple of Linda Sarsour, that’s a possibility.

After all, it’s not as though Detroit has ever needed any help from the Feds, as the largest city to file for bankruptcy in U.S. history in 2013.

Hopefully, the city will get what it wants, if not what it needs, from Rep. Tlaib.

Pack your own T.P.

It appears that the partial government shutdown is still, well, shut down.

To no one’s surprise, the meeting just concluded apparently wound up exactly where the last one did. There’s no wall, so there is no deal.

Although details are still sketchy, it seems that President Trump is aware that he stood to be snookered the same way Reagan was in the ’80s, if he accepted Pelosi and Schumer’s “deal” to fund six departments and consider funding DHS later.

That’s too bad for the people furloughed or working without pay, but probably good for the country.

So if you are planning to visit a national park soon, maybe including your own portable toilet might be a good idea.
